A starter consultation is an opportunity for Studio SA and the clients to “get to know” each other and to better understand the role of an interior designer. Whether you are a DIY person that needs help getting started or someone that wants full service interior design services; This is where we start. At the starter consultation we visit the home or jobsite, discuss colors, inspirations, review the client questionnaire, collect Information about the project and client lifestyle. Clients have the opportunity to ask as many remodeling questions as possible with an experienced designer. We take measurements before photos and gain a better understanding of the client’s wish list, budget, schedule, goals, and home history. We return to our studio and prepare a mini design package right away. This package has a 3-day turnaround time and includes designer sketches, hand drawn layouts, material inspiration storyboard, and project summary page with estimated materials costs. Once the starter consultation is complete the next step is to review our Studio SA Design Agreement and decide if you would like to hire Studio SA as your interior Designer. The client’s role in the next phase is to trust the design process as we develop your personal design style. We guide you through your entire remodeling experience.

Once clients complete the Phase 1 Starter Consultation, we move to Phase 2; A Full Design Agreement. Studio SA is a full-service interior design studio and supplier of cabinets, flooring, tile and plumbing. During phase 2 we select materials with the client, develop technical construction documents that include dimensions, material specifications, installer notes, electrical plans, plumbing plans, tile layouts, window and door schedules, flooring layouts, cabinet designs and more. Studio SA takes the lead with acquiring material quotes for price comparisons from trusted vendors and manufacturer brands across many product categories. Our trusted relationship with local manufacturer reps is a valuable part of our business. Once materials are selected and technical drawings are created, we then create 3D color rendering room scenes. A round of revisions is offered for drawings and color renderings. Once the design plans are completed, the client is ready to get apple to apple labor quotes and order materials.

Once clients have completed a Design Agreement Studio SA would love the opportunity to manage your remodeling project. Studio SA is a licensed general contractor. We work on a cost plus 15% - 30% mark up. Price varies based on level of detail needed. We use our construction documents and renderings to acquire subcontractor bids and compare pricing. We manage the job schedule, materials timeline and various trades. We believe in full transparency and show the true costs per trade. Our passion is shown in the details. We oversee all aspects of the design and ensure the trades understand the installation requirements.
