Whether you’re looking to DIY with designer guidance, hire a licensed contractor, or work with us from start to finish, our well developed approach ensures you will feel supported.
Our Design Approach
Four clear Phases. One Calm, Guided Design Experience
PHASE 1: DISCOVER & DEFINE
This phase sets up the vision and strategic foundation. During our Starter Consultation we explore and present inspirational ideas, colors and create layout options. We define the scope of work, set priorities and discuss material costs. Clients review designer sketches and decide on a design direction before moving to phase 2 Design Agreement.
PHASE 2: DESIGN & DECIDE
During this phase, we develop our sketch ideas from the starter consultation into technical construction documents with material selections and 3D color renderings. Our realistic room scenes allow clients to see the spaces with their chosen materials. Decisions feel grounded and supported. Studio SA is a certified cabinet designer and supplies cabinets, tile, flooring and plumbing from many trusted manufacturer brands across various price points. We also explore other product categories during this phase such as doors and windows, roofing, siding, hardware, light fixtures, furniture and more. By the end of phase 2 clients will have a full set of plans that are ready for bidding labor and ordering materials.
PHASE 3: MATERIALS & LABOR
We assist clients with aquiring labor bids, selecting a contractor and ordering materials in phase 3. Our construction documents are communication tools to aquire apples-to-apples labor quotes. Studio SA manages all material manufacturer communications, ordering, recieving and warranty registrations for cabinet designs, tile, flooring and plumbing. All other materials the clients will order directly with manufacturers or contractor with the assitance of Studio SA.
PHASE 4: HANDOFF & LAUNCH
At this point, clients have selected a contractor for their remodel project. Studio SA will review all design documents and material lead times so the contractor can develop a start date and installation schedule. Our role is to support the contractor and clients as they navigate the design plan. Studio SA will be on the jobsite during cabinet installation, countertop installation, tile installation, flooring installation and plumbing installation to ensure proper installation and design implementation.

We research, design, plan and order materials to support your contractor with a successful build.
No. We of course would love to be your general contractor but we understand that some clients may already have a contractor or want to DIY the project themselves. Clients can utilize us for our design services only. Once the design is complete with contruction documents the client can use our documents to get apples to apples quotes from 3 contractors or DIY the project themselves.
We will discuss the average costs of materials and remodeling. Once a client contracts with Studio SA we will create a budget goal for all materials and labor. We aquire multiple material quotes from trusted manufacturers to compare costs before purchasing any materials.
We spend a good amount of time reviewing materials, visiting design showrooms, and product education during phase 1 and phase 2. We present a variety of materials that work with your budget and provide renderings with your materials so you can visualize your space.
