ABOUT STUDIO SA

Studio SA is a design-build studio specializing in residential and commercial remodeling projects. Offering interior design services throughout San Diego and the East Bay Area. We bridge design and construction through a full-service, guided approach—from concept hand drafting to material sourcing, construction documents, project management, and installation oversight.

We collaborate with trusted brand manufacturers, trade professionals, artisans, and builders with whom we have built relationships with for almost two decades. Long-term partnerships with like-minded professionals, who share our core values, is essential to our success. Our process is well developed to support self-discovery and design planning. Studio SA was created because I believe the remodeling journey should be just as meaningful as the home you end up with. For over two decades, I’ve developed a seasoned approach to remodeling by working across various roles as interior designer, CAD specialist, project sales, project management, material procurement, and client experience—guided by a simple habit of asking questions: How can we elevate the human experience? How do we honor craftsmanship? How do we carry forward knowledge of the past, while embracing technological evolution?

I’m a licensed general contractor with a degree in commercial and residential interior design and project management certified. I’ve served in leadership roles across the industry, including Vice President of NARI San Diego Chapter and design showroom management. My work is driven by collaboration, curiosity, education and respect for the craft. At Studio SA, we don’t just build spaces—we build stories and experiences worth remembering.

ANNE DENMON

CABINET DESIGNER

Anne has spent over 20 years shaping homes through thoughtful kitchen and bath design. Along the way, she has had the honor of helping shape the design industry itself, serving on the Masterbrand Design Council and being recognized as a Leader of Influence in Architecture and Design. Driven by a simple question: How can we translate a homeowner’s individuality into a cohesive, inspired space?

At Studio SA, clients get the opportunity to work with Anne Denmon on all cabinetry needs. The first material clients select is cabinetry. Once cabinetry needs are defined, we use cabinetry visualization renderings and technical drawings to confirm the design concept and order cabinets. Once cabinetry is selected, Studio SA will continue to select materials such as flooring, countertops, plumbing, appliances and much more.

Studio SA was founded by two veteran interior designers with 45 years of combined experience who saw the industry losing its personal touch. We believe there is a better way through genuine connection. Our primary bathroom needed a remodel as the home was built in the mid 1990’s.  The counters, backsplash, and shower had 6” X 6” white tile so it needed a major refresh. Summer recommended a ½ inch stacked stone for the bathtub surround and backsplash. She selected white quartz counter tops and for the built in tub area.  For the shower area she recommended a 4” X 6” subway tile that complemented the color scheme and tied in all materials in the bathroom.  My wife and I were impressed with Summer’s knowledge of blending materials for both color and texture. We were extremely pleased with the outcome and received many compliments from friends who visited our home.  We have since sold this home and we are convinced that the bathroom remodel was a significant selling point.

My wife and I recently downsized from a larger home and purchased a smaller home that needed some major work. We did not hesitate to call upon Summer Frisby to review our options. This would be our second project with her. There were two areas that needed a major upgrade; the family room and the primary suite; bedroom, bath, and walk in closet.  Summer quickly came up with sketches for both areas.  The primary suite was a challenge, but we loved Summer’s new floor plan as it exactly fit our needs. She also selected contemporary materials that we all agreed upon.  Summer also did an outstanding job communicating with all contractors involved with the project and keeping them focused on the date of completion. This saved us money! Summer demonstrated multiple skills with her design, change orders, material selection, and project management.  She is easy to work with and truly a “one stop shop”. We would certainly hire her again for any future projects.

“An Office Design So Good Others Copied It”

I hired Summer to create a more workable and inviting environment for my new tax office, and she knocked it out of the ballpark. She took my space from 3 separate working offices to 5 working offices. Her vision was insightful as well creative. Her design included adding walls to create additional offices as well as adding transom windows to all the new walls. This allowed additional light to flow through the office and gave the office a more open feeling. Her design came out so great that we had several other tenants in the building look at our space and they copied her wall & window idea into their offices.

She made a big impact with a limited budget as we were a new start up at the time. Summer also took my business colors of pink, white & black and created a pink stripe across the top of our walls with a black trim divide to help carry my branding throughout the office. To this day, I still get compliments from clients saying how they love our office and the pink stripe. I can’t thank Summer enough for her great ideas and helping to bring my business to life.

"Home at Last: Bringing a Classic Colonial Back to Life"

We have been waiting 20 years to remodel our forever home. Summer somehow was able to get inside my head after one meeting and gave me a presentation that was everything I wanted. I didn’t change a single material she presented. She has a gift or instinct for listening. Our house was being rented out for 20 years while my husband and I travelled for his military career. Now retired we took back our classic colonial style home. The home was so aged and trashed from years of tenants that the entire home needed to be gutted. Summer and the team made it very clear of the issues that we may come across and there were issues from; needing to add support to the stairs, rotted floors, rotted windows and deck, relocating ducts and closets, etc..This prepared us for the reality of the situation. Summer worked with us and helped us prioritize which parts of the remodel were more important based on costs. We invested a lot of money in our home and I am so happy with the outcome.
